This thermal expansion valve uses dual-spool parallel modulation for wide-range refrigerant flow control in cold storage applications. Two independently driven spools, each with a primary and secondary sealing edge, operate in separate flow channels within a single body. The first spool handles low-load conditions (10 to 30 percent capacity), while the second spool activates for high-load conditions (30 to 100 percent capacity). When fully closed, both spools seat simultaneously, with the secondary edge on each spool providing backup sealing. The valve body is forged from lead-free brass with a hard chrome plating, rated for working pressures up to 42 bar and temperatures from minus 45 degrees Celsius to plus 135 degrees Celsius. The power element uses a liquid-filled bulb with a capillary tube for remote sensing. Available with rotalock and sweat connections from three-eighths inch to one and three-eighths inch. Designed for blast freezers, ice cream hardening rooms, and low-temperature warehouses where capacity varies widely.

(2) Redundant sealing edges per spool – each spool has a primary and secondary edge; during full closure, both edges contact the seat simultaneously, reducing internal leakage to less than 0.1 percent of rated capacity.

(3) Hard chrome plated brass body – the plating reaches a surface hardness of 70 Rockwell C, resisting wear from refrigerant contaminants and preventing galling during repeated installation cycles.

(4) Liquid-filled remote bulb – the bulb contains a high-viscosity fluid that responds slowly to temperature changes, preventing valve hunting during rapid evaporator load shifts and maintaining superheat within plus or minus 0.5 degrees Celsius.
